This idyllically situated lake lies in the heart of the forest and is renowned for its abundance of fish. During the fishing season, you can fish here from sunrise to sunset, so you can plan your day’s fishing exactly as you wish.
For us, Lake Auerling is therefore a particularly lovely way to combine a peaceful day’s fishing with a stay in Sankt Lambrecht. You don’t need to plan a long journey; instead, you can return to us in a relaxed manner after your fishing trip.
Pabstin Pond – right in Sankt Lambrecht
The Pabstin Pond is also one of the fishing spots in our region and is situated right in Sankt Lambrecht. So if you prefer to keep your journey as short as possible, this is an interesting option that doesn’t require a long drive.
This makes it a wonderful way to combine a day’s fishing with a day’s holiday in Sankt Lambrecht. Whilst you relax by the water, you can also enjoy the tranquillity of the village and the surrounding countryside.
However, as fishing times, conditions and permits may vary depending on the season, you should always check the current regulations before you go fishing.
Big Furtner Pond – Nature and Fishing
Just a few kilometres from Sankt Lambrecht lies the Große Furtner Teich near Mariahof. The Furtner Teich is far more than just a fishing spot; it is also an important nature and bird sanctuary, as well as a wonderful destination for a day out.
Anyone who goes fishing here will therefore experience a truly special landscape. The water, reeds, meadows and surrounding mountains combine to create a peaceful backdrop, making it possible to combine a day’s fishing wonderfully with enjoying nature and relaxation.
Precisely because Furtner Pond isn’t just of interest to anglers, it’s also ideal for a day out with friends and family. Whilst one person is fishing, others can enjoy the scenery or go for a walk.
Kleiner Furtner Teich – peaceful and close to nature
The Kleine Furtner Teich is also very close by. Fishing is permitted here too, so you have another option if you prefer smaller, quieter bodies of water.
The surrounding area is also ideal for combining a day’s fishing with a walk or another outing through the nature park. This allows you to combine fishing with other activities whilst discovering the countryside around Sankt Lambrecht.
Grasluppteich – for serious anglers
Anyone looking for a bit more of a challenge when fishing should check out the Grasluppteich in Zeutschach. Here, it’s all about sport fishing, which is why the pond is particularly appealing to anglers who are specifically targeting larger fish.
The Grasluppteich has designated fishing spots, and fishing is only permitted at these spots. There are also specific rules for the pond, and you must book a spot in advance.
Muhrenteich – Fishing in the heart of nature
Also in Zeutschach is the Muhrenteich, which, together with the Grasluppteich, is an interesting destination for angling enthusiasts.

Lake Mühlner – Combining fishing with a holiday
A little further away, near Mühlen, lies Lake Mühlner. This swimming lake, which covers around seven hectares, is not only a great place to swim in the summer, but is also a fishing lake.
